Juho is a Finnish industrial designer who lives and works in Japan. He has worked with package, furniture, aerospace, transportation and consumer product design etc. He also works with design consulting and idea generation.

Juho utilizes his knowledge of branding / product placement in the Japanese marketplace and language skills in the design projects. He also works as a link between Japanese and Nordic companies in Japan. Besides having worked with device design for NASA, he has also been involved in the development of a new business class service concept for the future Airbus A350 long-haul aircraft at Finnair. Juho is a member of the Japan Industrial Designers' Association (JIDA). He works at Propex Inc. as the head of its design division. The first time Juho used a computer was in 1979 and he was very young. In his childhood he quickly developed an interest to movie special effects. With access to clay and silicon Juho created movie props and other objects at home. Some of them with simple stop motion skeletons. His earliest creations using 2D graphics software date back to 1985. First steps into 3D he took in 1990 and has been involved with 3D software ever since then. Starting from the early days Juho has used everything from a TRS-80, DEC, early Apples, 286, 386, Silicon Graphics Indigo, O2 and Onyx to modern Macs and PCs. |
